This is a brave new venture for me. Although I enjoy writing I never thought I'd take it this far. This blog will be all about theology and the spiritual life. I hope you enjoy what you read here. I hope it challenges you. I pray it leads you to King Jesus.

An Incidental Disciple is named so based on both primary definitions of "incidental."

1. "accompanying but not a major part of something"

2. " liable to happen as a consequence of"

I am not a major part of my Christian faith. King Jesus takes center stage there and there is room for no other.  Secondly, I hope as a consequence of the life I lead daily, and maybe even through this blog, others might be liable to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

My name is Devin. I share my life with my wife Caley, our beautiful daughter, and our two huskies. 

I have a BA and MA in New Testament Studies and I am currently in Seminary working towards an M. Div.
